Sensei Sandeep Desai is the first Indian to be officially authorised by Master Zhu Tian Cai to teach the traditional Chen Style T'ai Chi system.

     
 

 

   
   

Over 30 years of experience in Martial Arts, Yoga and Meditation.

Visited Okinawa, Japan five times between 1989 & 1997 and received training in Okinawan Shorin Matsubayashi Ryu directly from Hanshi Shoshin Nagamine, 10th Dan Black Belt.

Attained 5th Dan Black Belt in 1997. The test was conducted by Hanshi Shoshin Nagamine and his senior assistants.

Performed Kata Wankan in group in the opening ceremony of the World Karate tournament in 1997.

Trained with Sensei Katherine Baxter, former world champion in Okinawan Weaponry.

Also, invited Sensei Katherine Baxter, world renowned weapon expert and two Japanese teachers, to impart training to Indian students.

Studied Chen Style T'ai Chi in Freising, Germany under Dr. Bob Bacher in 1997.

 

Trained and instructed T'ai Chi and Yoga in several yoga schools in Miami, USA in 2001.

Underwent advanced training in Chen Style T'ai Chi in Singapore in 2002 under the direct guidance of 19th generation Grandmaster Zhu Tian Cai, one of the world's foremost authorities on Chen Style T'ai Chi. Certified by the Grandmaster to teach his authentic version of Chen Style T'ai Chi.

Visited Chenjiagou village, China, in 2004 and 2007, for advanced training under Grandmaster Zhu Tian Cai.

 

Won the bronze medal in the First World Traditional Wushu Tournament in 2004 held at Zhengzhou city, China, under the age category of 30 to 45 years.

Won the silver medal in the First International Chen Style T'ai Chi Tournament, held at Singapore in December 2005.

 

Teaches Chenjiagou T'ai Chi on a full time basis, conducting regular Courses and workshops.

Contributed numerous articles to leading newspapers and magazines including Indian Express (Express Newsline), Times of India (Bombay Times). His articles have also been published in the Speaking Tree Column and the 'Wellness' supplement. (Times of India).

Featured on international television channels like BBC World, Star Plus, CNBC TV18, Zee TV, Doordarshan, Channel V and Times Now.
